Abstract: "The Thing Is..." – a science podcast" is a nationwide, inter-university popular science program comprising a series of 22 podcast and videocast episodes. Each episode features 20–45 minutes of engaging conversation that presents scientific knowledge and research findings in an accessible and compelling manner. The project combines accuracy, expertise, and credibility with engaging storytelling, offering audiences an experience that educates and fosters critical thinking. A key objective of the program is to combat misinformation and fake news by presenting facts within the context of everyday life in a way that is understandable to a broad audience.
