Abstract: The subject of the project is the popularization of science through the exchange of experiences and good practices as well as the organization of joint initiatives with partners from educational units in the Lublin region in terms of creating a network of "academic technical schools" as departments for the promotion of science in the social and business environment. The project also assumes cooperation with enterprises shaping the needs for the development of research areas and providing facilities for the implementation of science in their companies. Lublin University of Technology will be the coordination center initiating, implementing and controlling all activities within the project and the main meeting center for project partners and the promotion of science in the field of mechanical engineering, construction, automation, electronics and electrical engineering. Due to the fact that there are thriving academic centers in the Lublin region, as well as industrial companies and technical secondary schools of great importance for the economy, where innovative technologies and scientific achievements play a key role, it was decided to integrate these "three worlds" into one whole. It is worth noting that over 90% of the aeronautics sector's production is located in eastern Poland (Polish Investment and Trade Agency, https://www.paih.gov.pl/pl, April 16, 2021). The project will involve technical secondary schools, where the first scientific inspirations of young people are formed and innovative attitudes are created. Strengthening these activities at the academic level will contribute to building a network of scientific and technical groups with a strong social and business impact in the region. The implementation of the project, thanks to the popularization of science, will contribute to the awakening of interests and passions of high school students and will allow for an easily digestible understanding of complex scientific issues and problems. It should also be emphasized that the scientific "judgment" established at an early stage of education will result in inquisitiveness and effectiveness in solving difficult problems of entrepreneurs, and at the same time will be a driving force for the development of local and global industry. Instilled with the desire to explore knowledge, students will be a potential source of mature candidates for higher education and well-formed researchers and scientists in the future. In addition, the project provides for the preparation of a scientific blog in 10 thematic areas related to the above-mentioned scientific disciplines. It will be run by employees of the Lublin University of Technology throughout the duration of the project in the pollub.pl domain. A campaign to popularize science and promote the project was also included. The project falls under the discipline of mechanical engineering.
