Abstract: The main objective of the project is to implement a model for the documentation and assessment of the technical condition of historic fortresses. As part of the prepared document for technical condition assessment, the following will be developed: Documentation standard in BIM technology (the Department is the contractor of the international grant BIM technologies in historic buildings), BIM documentation in this type of buildings facilitates the design of further repair, conservation works, etc.

Fortress Condition Assessment Sheet - (the Department has experience in this type of study, 2 grants - national and international), the document is a platform for the assessment of large structures, allows a comprehensive assessment, while allowing continuous monitoring of changes over time.

Due to the fact that in the collection of architectural monuments there are many typological groups with very specific characteristics. For these objects, the development of specialised Condition Assessment Sheets that take these specificities into account is justified. Department has developed an Assessment of Historical Ruins Sheet and Assesment of Wooden Structures Sheet.

The next step should be to verify these documents on further typological groups. In view of the fact that the Sgraffito Conservation Science Club has been carrying out research work on the Kłodzko Fortress for many years under the supervision of the department.

The document prepared will include:

- Characteristics of the object or set of objects,

- Technical description,

- 3D inventory methods - students from the science club will be prepared to perform 3D measurements and photogrammetry, additionally elements of object modelling will be introduced,

- Condition assessment of structural elements,

- Condition assessment of finishing elements,

- Scope of necessary site and laboratory investigations - the training will include the introduction of laboratory classes.
