Abstract: The goal of the project is to preserve the printed collections of the journal (digitization, publication of archival volumes in open access), as well as to popularize the scientific and technical achievements of Polish aviation constructors and to present the tradition of aviation in Poland. By making the journal's volumes available, it will be possible to recall important historical events, such as the first LOT airplane take off from Okęcie Airport in Warsaw. Also of great interest will be accounts of seminars and congresses organized by the Polish and International aviation industry, reports on the activities of the Aviation Section of SIMP and SITK, in addition, descriptions of patents, technical innovations of the twentieth century, technological solutions used in agriculture and forestry, biographies of Polish aviation constructors, technical vocabulary related to aviation compiled simultaneously in several languages. It will be possible to get acquainted with the design thought of machine prototypes, including aircraft, by means of unique technical diagrams and photographs. The outcome of the project will be the publication of 392 archival volumes of the journal (13,615 graphically processed scans) in the Digital Library of Lublin University of Technology and on the Lublin University of Technology Publishing House (LUT PH) journal publishing platform. The resources of the Digital Library of Lublin University of Technology will be indexed by the Digital Library Federation, the Europeana cultural heritage portal and the WorldCat central library catalogue. Like all publications of the Digital Library of Lublin University of Technology, the journal will be made available under a free CC BY-SA 4.0 PL license. Lublin University of Technology's journal platform is based on open source software, which is among the world's most widely used and popular systems for handling, editing and publishing periodicals. The collection will be compiled while striving for maximum completeness. Archived volumes of the journal will be deposited by editors on the platform in the form of pdf files and metadata. The outcome of the problem will be the ability to browse and download files with archival volumes of the journal for free on the website of the Digital Library of Lublin University of Technology and the Lublin University of Technology Publishing House journal platform.
