Abstract: The purpose of the project is to support the organization of an international scientific conference: International Conference on Computational Intelligence, Information Technology and Systems Research, which will be held on May 17-19, 2023 at the Lublin University of Technology. The conference aims to present the latest achievements in the field of computational intelligence, information systems and systems research. Scientists from major scientific and research centers, specialists in their field, will share their knowledge in the field of conducted research that fits into the subject of the conference. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are currently one of the most important and dynamically developing areas of our lives. AI-based solutions are playing an increasingly important role in science and industry. Looking at business practice, it is difficult to find an industry branch in which these opportunities are not used. The leading topic of the CITS'2022 conference will be the application of modern scientific and research methods using AI to solve modern, complex decision-making problems. The conference is organized by the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology in cooperation with the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Information Technology Society. The conference is organized periodically, starting from 2018. The expected number of participants is 50 people, including 15 speakers from abroad. A hybrid mode of the conference is planned, which will ensure the possibility of participation of scientists from different parts of the world, regardless of possible difficulties in travel. It is also planned to adjust the number of sessions conducted on-site to the applicable safety regulations. For this reason, it is necessary to retrofit the existing hardware base of the University. Lublin University of Technology has basic multimedia equipment, however, it is not sufficient in the case of conducting parallel sessions in stationary mode and providing remote mode at the same time. The financial support obtained as part of the project will ensure the proper conduct of the conference, high-quality on-line broadcast and will strengthen the promotion of the event. It is planned to use posters, invitations, information in social media and on the website of the University and the conference. An important element will be the streaming of scientific sessions. Due to the hybrid nature of the conference, it is also planned to conclude an agreement with a catering company. The final result of the project will be the dissemination of the latest achievements in IT, including in the field of AI and machine learning, in the form of presentations and scientific publications in renowned international journals. Information about the event and the results of the conference will also be made available via the website prepared for the conference. The event itself will contribute to the expansion of international scientific and research cooperation, also as part of jointly implemented grants and projects. We are convinced that the conference will contribute to the presentation of the achievements of the Lublin community and its modern technological base in the field of IT, as well as raising the prestige of the University, city and region on the national and international forum.
