Abstract: The subject of the project is the organization of an international scientific conference. The topic addressed during the event is extremely important in the perspective of the development and transformations taking place on editorial and publishing platforms in the context of openness policies created at universities and research institutions. Relevant issues of contemporary scientific publishing will be discussed, including standards of publishing policies that contribute, for example, to opening the resources of publishing houses to a wider readership of the open access model; cooperation of editors, reviewers and authors; good publishing practices; effective ways of applying journals to indexing databases; copyright law in publishing practice. The conference will have an international scope. It will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences of participants from academic and research institutions from different countries. Information gained during the conference on contemporary publishing in academic structures will contribute to raising the position of Polish science on an international scale. The issues of effective application to indexed databases, electronic publishing under open licenses, use of various publishing platforms for scientific journals will become particularly important.
