Abstract: The scientific part of the project, as part of the program for Ukrainian scientists to continue research in Poland, is carried out in the scientific discipline of mechanical engineering. It concerns the preparation and testing of a new type of nanocomposite protective coatings, such as Ti-Zr-Mo-C / WS2, WS2, Mo-W-C. Coatings with high mechanical properties will be prepared on metal substrates. The purpose of the coating preparation is to increase the hardness, wear and corrosion resistance of machine parts and tools. Coatings will be tested using SEM, EDS, WDS, XRD, XPS and TEM techniques. Calculations by the molecular dynamics method concerning the properties of the coatings made for comparison with the results of the experiments. Tribological tests of coatings to determine their friction coefficient and resistance to abrasive wear will be performed on a pin/ball-on-disk test tester. Integration of the invited scientist from Ukraine in the organizational and didactic sphere with the employees of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will consist in including him in all organizational activities at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Lublin University of Technology, such as: appointing to faculty committees (including doctoral and postdoctoral committees), entrusting scientific seminars, further joint application for research and teaching grants, preparing joint research publications, participation in organizing scientific conferences.
