Abstract: The main objective of the project is to conduct research and development (application and development), which will result in the development of an intelligent system for monitoring the pressure level in vacuum interrupters designed for modern medium voltage (MV) switchgear. The target group of recipients of the project results will be manufacturers of vacuum interrupters and MV switchgear, who will want to increase the quality and innovation of their products. The system for monitoring the pressure level will be a new and unique solution, which has not been implemented in the world power industry so far. The system in question will be distinguished by wireless communication between its components and cooperation with a dedicated computer and mobile application, which will significantly improve power supply reliability and thus decrease the values of reliability indices, for too high values of which the Distribution System Operators (DSO) pay financial penalties.
