Abstract: Project is implemented in the discipline Civil Engineering and Transport. According to the above discipline, the fire behaviour of structural members is essential for the safety of structures and people.The basic research includes local combustion of glue laminated timber and innovative wood-CFRP composite beams under a constant load in a three-point bending scheme, in the most loaded cross-section - in the middle. The dimensions base on CFRP strips available on the market (widths 100 mm, 120 mm and 150 mm), the maximal force ensured by the experimental setup, and the burning time with maintaining a suitable flame. Four samples for each cross-section assure a possibility to do the statistical analysis of the results. The properties measured in the tests are burning time until failure and deflection under fire exposure. The designed pilot test stand will make it possible to conduct outdoor tests without exposing the laboratory equipment to damage.
