We invite you to an open public lecture by Professor Lidia Morawska from Queensland University of Technology.

,,Scientific knowledge and practical measures to improve air quality: do they go hand in hand?''

Venue: Auditorium of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy at the Lublin University of Technology, 40 B Nadbystrzycka Street

Date: 21 May 2026 (Thursday), 11.00 am

„The event is carried out with the financial support of The City of Lublin, as part of the Visiting Professors in Lublin Program”.

Professor Morawska, who holds an honorary doctorate from the Lublin University of Technology, is an eminent scholar and a world-renowned authority in the interdisciplinary field of air quality and its impact on health; she is a WHO expert and was named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine in 2021, recognised in the ‘Innovators’ category.

Lublin is a city known for its efforts to improve air quality. However, people today spend more time indoors. Thanks to the support of the City Council, we hope that the Professor’s visit to our city will help to take action to make Lublin a leading city in terms of clean air, both outdoors and indoors.

The lecture will also be streamed – a link on the Faculty’s and City Council’s websites will be provided before the event.
