Technobeton - our architects are the winners

21.12.2020

Architects from Lublin University of Technology received the main award and a distinction in a competition organized by the Technobeton company from Lublin, offering building materials.

The task of the participants was to design a typical semi-detached house. The main prize in the amount of PLN 5,000 went to the team composed of Kostiantyn Pinkovkyi, MSc Arch. and Pavlo Lozovskyi, MSc Arch - both architects are graduates of Lublin University of Technology.

- The main reason behind choosing their project was its legibility and clarity, a successful combination of a simple yet elegant form with a well-thought-out and flexible functional arrangement. We also appreciated the wide use of our company's building materials. The money prize is not the only form of recognition. We are in the process of discussions with the winners about the possibility of further cooperation as well as joining the team of our specialists - informs Marta Hordyj, Technobeton marketing specialist.

According to the regulations, the jury was to select just one winning project.

- We decided that one more concept which is characterized by an exceptionally innovative approach to the subject cannot be left without an award. The modularity and compactness of the buildings, the use of interesting solutions as well as the aesthetics of the entire project certainly deserved recognition - emphasizes Marta Hordyj.

The authors of the awarded project - Vladyslav Dubyk and Hanna Iakaba - are students of architecture at Lublin University of Technology.

The team received a prize of PLN 1,000.

- We encourage our students to take part in architectural competitions because it is a great opportunity to test their knowledge and skills against other architects. Congratulations to the winners and we are happy to see their mature and valuable projects that inspire and help to create good models - says Dr. Eng. Arch. Bartłomiej Kwiatkowski, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Lublin University of Technology.
