The Professor Stefan Kaufman Medal is granted annually to one laureate by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians in recognition of outstanding scientific and engineering achievements, as well as significant contribution to the education of generations of engineers.
The medal presentation ceremony took place on September 24, 2023 at the Silesian University of Technology during the opening of the LXVIII Scientific Conference of the Civil and Water Engineering Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Science Committee of the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians.
Scientific interests of Prof. Anna Halicka include: concrete composite structures, reinforced concrete tanks and silos, failures and diagnostics of building structures, historic buildings, as well as concrete based on waste aggregates. Professor Halicka is the author or co-author of numerous technical expert opinions and construction designs of industrial, municipal, general and historic buildings, technical judgments for the Provincial Conservator of Monuments and opinions on the innovativeness of economic ventures.
