Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki honored scientists for their outstanding doctoral dissertations. Among the 25 laureates is Dr. Eng. Katarzyna Zielińska, a graduate of Lublin University of Technology, who was granted an award for her dissertation entitled "Island operation of multi-channel converters supported by kinetic energy storage system".
The dissertation was appreciated for the development of a high-quality work method in systems with distributed energy sources by increasing the safety and continuity of electric power supply, improving the quality of energy as well as the reliability of selective disconnection of protected circuits during electrical short circuit.
The defense of the thesis took place in May 2019. Prof. Wojciech Jarzyna from Lublin University of Technology was the supervisor of the thesis and its reviewers were: Prof. K. Gopakumar from Indian Institute of Science (India) and Prof. Mariusz Malinowski from Warsaw University of Technology.
