Numerous LUT scientists ranked among top 2% in the world

Scientists from Lublin University of Technology are among the most highly cited researchers in the world according to the World's Top 2% Scientists rankings prepared by Elsevier.

One of them takes into account the entire scientific achievements of individual scientists, and the other - scientific achievements in 2022. The scientists were assessed based on such criteria as: Hirsch index, number of citations, number of articles, place and role of the author among co-authors.

In the ranking concerning the entire scientific achievements, among over 204,000 scientists from around the world, 1,119 researchers from Poland were distinguished, including 13 from Lublin University of Technology.

However, in the ranking regarding scientific achievements in the year 2022, 1,142 Polish researchers were among over 210,000 scientists from around the world. There are 18 people from LUT in this group.

One of them is the rector of LUT, Prof. Zbigniew Pater. – It is an honor to be among the world's leading scientists. This is my personal satisfaction, but as the university's rector, I am proud of the achievements of all our researchers. Thanks to their exceptional scientific activity, Lublin University of Technology is recognized internationally. I thank them for their passion and hard work, which can be an inspiration for our entire academic community - says the rector.

The World's Top 2% Scientists rankings assign researchers to 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification.
