On December 7, 2023, at the initiative of the Vice-Dean for Education and International Cooperation, a meeting of employees and students with representatives of Pratt & Whitney was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The meeting was aimed at determining the possibilities of cooperation between Lublin University of Technology and P&W.

The company's representatives were also interested in the possibilities of attracting Polish students and young scientists to internships and industrial internships. Scientific areas of particular interest to Pratt & Whitney include programming of CNC machine tools, diagnostics and monitoring of processes and machines, robotization and automation of production processes, traffic regulation in production plants, the use of artificial intelligence in production planning and logistics, quality forecasting, traffic maintenance, the use of VR/AR techniques in employee training, etc.

The guests visited university laboratories, showing great interest and appreciation for the research equipment collected at LUT. In the near future, P&W representatives will develop a set of master's thesis topics that master's students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of LUT will be able to complete in cooperation with the company.
