The title of ‘Ambassador of the Lublin Province’ was awarded for the 25th time. During the Gala which took place on February 3, 2024 at the Center for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin, we met people, institutions and companies that contribute to the promotion and building the good name of the region.

We are very pleased to announce that Lublin University of Technology has been honored with this prestigious title in the INSTITUTION category.

The selection of the nominees and winners was made by the Chapter, consisting of the Chairman of the Regional Assembly, the Marshal and members of the Lublin Province Board, as well as the editors-in-chief of the Lublin media.

According to the rector of LUT, Prof. Zbigniew Pater, this unique distinction not only confirms the high level of the University, but also proves its key role in the development of the region.

– The 70-year history of the University proves its constant commitment to improving the level of education and promoting scientific achievements on a national and international scale. Moreover, the University actively supports various social, cultural and economic initiatives, engaging itself in dialogue with the local community - says the rector.

The title of ‘Ambassador of the Lublin Province’ has been awarded since 1999 to outstanding people, institutions and companies that have made a significant contribution to the promotion of the Lublin Province, both in the country and abroad. The following entities have the right to submit candidates: local government units, commune, city and county councils, as well as socio-cultural, scientific and economic organizations and institutions.

Prizes in the competition are awarded in three categories: Person, Institution and Company. This year's edition received as many as 40 applications, of which 31 met the regulatory requirements.

Thanks to this year's edition, we now have a total of 84 ambassadors, including 8 special ambassadors.
