Ecological agreement with ARTHUR and MTC Lublin

17.11.2022

On November 8, 2022, a cooperation agreement between ARTHUR, Lublin University of Technology and MTC Lublin was signed in the Lublin City Hall. The parties declare, inter alia, readiness to cooperate in the field of education and recruitment of qualified staff through organization of student internships, as well as participation in job fairs organized by Lublin University of Technology. The cooperation will also include joint research.

On that day, the first tests of the hydrogen bus manufactured by the ARTHUR company in its Lublin plant took place in our city. It is 12 meters long, consumes a maximum of 6 kg of fuel per 100 km and does not emit any harmful substances.

– The tests of the hydrogen bus will enable gaining experience in service and operation of this type of transport in Lublin conditions. This is especially important because we have been developing sustainable and ecological public transport for years, and next year the first hydrogen-powered bus will hit the streets of Lublin. This type of fuel is currently the cleanest in use in many countries around the world. We want Lublin to be one of the first cities in Poland where a bus powered by eco-hydrogen will serve public transport lines - informs Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin.

Philipp Glonner, CEO and co-founder of ARTHUR, talks about the benefits of such a solution: - With our buses, we want to give cities the possibility of emission-free and silent transport, while actively developing sustainable mobility. It is important to design solutions that are not only ecological, but also encourage city dwellers to use public transport more.

ARTHUR is an innovative company from the broadly understood mobility sector. Gerhard Mey and Philipp Glonner founded the company in 2021 with a shared vision of shaping the future of emission-free mobility. In just twelve months, the ARTHUR team designed and built an innovative, zero-emission hydrogen bus, which stands out from similar vehicles for low energy consumption and, consequently, the highest profitability of operation. Further products are under development.
