Distinction for “CARBON” Student Science Club

On April 20, 2023, members of the “CARBON” Student Science Club of Polymer Engineering participated in the 4th International Symposium of Student Science Clubs "ENVIRONMENT-PLANT-ANIMAL-PRODUCT" organized by the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The presented scientific works were appreciated by the committees of individual sections.

The team composed of Joanna Tomasik and Miłosz Wrotniak received a distinction from the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering for the paper entitled "Physical and mechanical properties of biodegradable polymeric materials used in gardening".

In turn, the team consisting of Aleksandra Pszczoła and Damian Szopiński presented a poster entitled "Morphology and strength of biodegradable products for use in plant cultivation".

The aforementioned research was supervised by Dr. Eng. Aneta Tor-Świątek.

The team consisting of Klaudia Tarach, Nikola Woźniak and Julia Wójtowicz received an award from the Polish Society of Food Technologists for the poster entitled "Development of selected plant cultures in in vitro conditions". The presented research is the result of a scientific internship at the Jagiellonian University under the supervision of Prof. Agnieszka Szopa.
